Privacy Policy

What we collect

kochi.rent has no user accounts. We only store what you give us when you use the site:

• Ad details — title, description, price, property attributes, area, and the map location you pin. These are public.
• Your email address — when you post an ad or message a poster. It is never displayed on the site.
• Contact messages — a record of who messaged which ad, used to prevent spam.

When your email is shared

Contacting happens over email, so email addresses are shared at the moment of contact — that is the one time we share them:

• If you message a poster, your email address is shared with that poster so they can reply to you directly.
• If you posted an ad and reply to a message, your email address becomes visible to that person through your reply.

Only send a message if you are comfortable with the poster seeing your email address. We never sell or share email addresses with anyone else, and we don't send marketing email.

Services we rely on

• Convex — stores ads and messages records.
• Resend — delivers manage-link and contact emails.
• Vercel & Google Analytics — hosting and anonymous usage statistics (page views, general location). These may set cookies.

Deleting your data

Deleting your ad via your private manage link removes it permanently — there is no soft delete. For anything else (for example, removing contact records tied to your email), write to kochirentapp@gmail.com.
